The Grey Rock Project

Location: Blue Ridge Mountains, NC

Project Overview:
"The Grey Rock project is a ~4000 acre tract within the Blue Ridge mountains of western North Carolina just north of the famous Lake Lure resort area.  Elevations range from 500 ft to +3000 ft.  The project is home to the nationally televised HGTV's 2006 Dream Home giveaway [ http://www.grey-rock.com ]. 

Land Management Group evaluated this project on a preliminary basis for general land and soil usability with on-site waste treatment systems, wetland concerns, Phase 1 environmental assessment, and  other environmental concerns.  The resulting information and maps were used for initial land planning purposes with the project's owners, engineers, and landscape architects.  Land Management Group also coordinated with other licensed soil scientists and professionals to assist the project's owners with environmental permitting for project development.  This project is an example of Land Management Group's ability to work within diverse soil, land, and geographic locations."
